unofficialy slowest ls1 ive only ran my car three times at the track and got a 13.9 and this is at "the worlds fastest track" darlington i have lid,filter,bellow,maf,no cats,hooker lts, flowmastermuffler,10mm wires,tr6, with nitrous got a 13.1 this is a 2002 ws6 the collector edition a4 from the times i see from you guys something is wrong with my car i know i have a little weight from the stereo system but the only other thing i can think is i dont have the o2 simulators on the back spots yet from installing the lts could someone maybe give me an idea what is going on

Re: unofficialy slowest ls1 Always run stock MAF ESPECIALLY with nitrous... Descreening the stock MAF is fine.
I would get rid of that flowmaster muffler and put in a dynomax ultraflo. (1000cfm for the 3 inch)

Re: unofficialy slowest ls1 just got the gears havent had money for the converter yet and since i dont have the o2 simulators i didnt see any point in getting it tuned right now also just wanted to make sure that pulling the screen will still be good enough going through the air filter that nothing will flow into the motor

Re: unofficialy slowest ls1 I wonder if he is hitting the 5500 RPM fuel pressure drop that alot of LS1's seem to have. Mine used to feel like I was hitting a 100mph headwind at 5500 RPM. Not all cars have this problem, from what I hear.

I'm talking about a TQ converter (it transfers the power from you engine to your A4 transmission.) A TQ converter is a FAR more effective mod than gears. Waaaaaaaaaaaay better bang for the buck. O2 sims have nothing to do with a TQ converter. You're thinking about the catalylic (sp?) converters.

Re: unofficialy slowest ls1 no i knew what you were saying. yeah i know what the tc is. i was just saying i didnt have the gears when i was at the track and i was just saying the o2s probably have something to do with some messed up timing or tuning. sorry about that colonel

Re: unofficialy slowest ls1 Lack of O2 simms will not cause a loss of performance in any way. That is a huge but very common misconception. The only thing not having O2 simms causes when you get rid of the cats, is an annoying check engine light in your face.
Do yourself a favor when you get some dough. Make a good converter and some Nitto drag radials your next mods.
