my new set up blows

I just got back from the track and its the first time ive tried my new set up.Spec stage three cluth and flywheel and moser 12 bolt with 4.10s and prokit with kyb adjs. i cant launch the car at all now. Im running **** tires-bald kuhmo 712s- and with how hard the clutch grabs now combined with the low end from the 4.10s and junk tires i cant leave under any power at all.
Those who have similar set ups do you think ill gain a lot of traction with a drag radial over my street tires?
Im just frustrated that i have all these nice new parts to handle a decent launch but i cant leave over 1500 without blowin the tires off.

hell yes drag radials will freakin help even shitty nitto 555rs will and they are about the worst drag radial you can buy... what size wheels you got?

Tires should be your first track mod. I would go with slicks though and drop the clutch at 6k.

just the stock 17s for now. id like to go pretty agressive on tires though because i plan on getting nicer larger wheels for street and keepin the stockers for drag

Get some 15's and run a stiff wall slick and drop the clutch off the rev limiter it'll leave.

yeah, i am spraying 250 and leaving off the transbrake on some bald 17" kumho's, why doesnt it hook? j/k PUT A TIRE ON THAT BITCH AND TRY AGAIN.

Tires first and then take off the KYB AGX shocks and replace with QA1 or Strange if you still need more bite.

I recommend the 15" wheels for the bigger sidewall as well.

They work fine on the street. I havn't tried them in the rain though (and I don't plan on it either lol). Of course they're going to wear faster than normal radials but thats because the compound is so soft. But on the street they perform great.
