Default Back from the TFBM/ARE Drag event!!!

What a great day today!!

Thanks to the club and ARE for putting off such a great event!!

I got knocked out in the second round by Taner but still had a blast!

Best pass today (Full Street trim) was 12.33 @ 121.7mph on a 2.2X sixty foot.

I was really happy considering this was full weight with 17's all around, air filter in place, swaybar on yadda yadda. Car is making great power and still running well with the swap back to the stock 10 bolt.

Had a BLAST driving Pauls car. 11.1 @ 126 with it stalling shifting to fourth. Then after a 10 minute heatsoak I took it around again....

10.995 @ 127.88mph!!! FULL WEIGHT about ~3750pounds with me in it!

Car has EASY 10.6 @ 130mph in the fall with skinnies full slicks instead of the ET streets

Just AWESOME! And to think he hasn't even put in the bigger injectors etc yet!

Wade ran a 8.73 @ 165.4mph!! Vid will be up soon

Great day, great folks, great weather and great food afterwards in New Sarum.

Thanks again guys for putting this together.

I think the F-body count was 64 cars? Not too bad!!

I also got a great vid of that run, nicely done Chris

Chris ran my car at full weight and full trim, and it's not light. ARE built a great combo here, everything has held together all year extremely well. My car has seen some serious abuse at the track and AutoX this year and hasn't skipped a beat. It has got me to the track and home everytime and been dead reliable. I have had some issues but they are getting sorted out none of the issues has sidelined the car. No trailer queen for me

I had an excellent day today, well done TfBM and ARE for sponsoring it.

Thanks Chris and nice pass

I'm tired and going to bed, heck I can't even wite a whole sentence

Yes, a great day for sure. My personal highlight was treeing Warbird and holding him off for 60' in time trials Chris knocked me out in the first round, then made a stellar pass in Warbird's car. Wade's Z ran its usual boring 8.7's @ 165 mpg Taner was rowing through the gears N/A for a couple of quick passes.

I had 60 pics of it all but lost my digicam

It was a great day, but less people there than I expected, considering the prize up for grabs (heads/cam package!)

I made it to the semis but lost to the eventual winner by just .062. I got a .543 RT to his .620, but my LT1 slowed down more than I estimated (due to heat soak) and I ran a 14.295 on a 14.15 dial, while he ran a 10.975 on a 10.97 dial!

I hate how much these LT1s slow down when hot lapped. Earlier in the day it ran a 13.94 with a one hour cooldown. LS1s are way easier to bracket race since they don't slow down when you hotlap. Trying to guess just how much my LT1 is going to slow down due to hot lapping is tricky. When it's hot, the ET can sometimes slow down much more than you expected.

Forgot to mention in my first post that the Density Altitude (DA) was 1650 feet.

Richard,
You LOST your digicam? What happened to it? Did you leave it at the restaurant or did someone nab it on you when you had the T-tops out and were inside eating? If you left it at the track hopefully someone picked it up for you.

That sucks man!

Richard as soon as I read your note, I ran out to my car and checked my camera. My car was open at the restaurant as well. Fortunately my camera was still there.

I hope you find it or it gets returned. Let us know what happens.

the event was a blast! Chris that was a great race! the winner in the pro car was pretty tough to beat, he had that car dialed in pretty good. he ran within a couple of hundredths each time.

new p.b's even thought i was spinning hard and even pulled the tires off the ground with the little et streets on the car.

The batteries dies in the camera after the semi's. I like to think I "lost" the camera, but the more likely reality is that someone stole it from the car while at the track watching the finals.

Luckily enough my EFILive and Laptop were still there.

Chris,

It almost looks like you did 2 burnouts. Was that Arun (Z06) the "second" time?
