breakdown of the car? tires? ect

id guess street tires dont do a huge burnout jsut clean them off basically...
roll into the 1st beam let the other guy do the same. then stall it up slightly if auto bump into the second beam, go when you see the 3rd yellow...

if a 6 speed roll into the sencond bulb, rev to about 2500 on the 3rd yellow sli[ the clutch quickly while applying more gas

read here: www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=699837

Depending on traction, transmission, driver ability and air quality, should be anywhere from 12.90s to high 13s, maybe even 14s with crappy traction and a stick if you can't shift!

Good luck, have fun and post up the results in the "Drag Racing Results' section

One thing i can't stress enough is don't get frustrated if your not mid 13's your first run. It takes some people more practice than others. I'm still trying to launch my car right, my best run is only a 13.8. Many factors come into play though, temp, tire pressure etc...

I'll assume that 13.66 was your earlier run when it was hotter out because your mph was slower, those are some nice MPHs, is the car an Auto or stick? That 104 is a solid 13.0 with a good 60ft., if not a 12.9, once winter comes you'll be even faster, you should gain 2 mph no sweat, then your solidly a 12 sec. car at 106+, congrats!!

What track did you run at?? I used to race my duster down at Temple & also prarie hill.

Congrats, not bad at all for you're first time out. And you had fun, that doesn't happen with everybody . A pair of drag radials are a GREAT thing to have, especially if your local tracks prep is less than desirable. I'd say pick up a pair (or with all the dr's on backorder now, maybe look into a spare set of rims and get a pair of slicks). Good luck.

You are running strong, i wouldn't do any mods just yet, get some stickies 1st., then go back to the track for some new #s, THEN get a good stall & 3.73 gears, once the fall/winter crisp air comes around, you'll be running mid 12s all night if you get those 60fts. in the high 1.7s, low 1.8s, then either cam it or juice it with a 100 shot , you know of coarse the juice with get you in the 11s easy. **** for kicks & giggles, just run the stock rims all around with stickies on back, then you'll have bragging rights & a solid sleeper lol.

Street radials SUCK on a track surface, they like to hop & do all kinds of funky stuff, but on the street they work better, funny ha, its amazing how they match the rubber compound to the road surface, my street tires damn near dead hook from a small roll on the street with NO wheel hop, but at the track last week i couldn't launch for ****, it hopped & hopped trying to hook, the take off is the trickiest part when racing at the track on street tires

I've heard the (forgot the name), i know it starts with a V, its a great converter that most swear by, i would get the 3200 unit with your stock cam.
