Front spring question
Background on the car...its a 402 LS2, full suspension, 9", 4.11s, naturally aspirated yea yea yea
It had a th400, trans brake, 3800 stall. Now has a t56 with a textralia clutch.
With the th400 the car ran 10.4 @ 130 on slicks. On drag radials it ran 11.0 @ 120 running out of gear. With the t56 on drag radials I trapped 119 first time out. With some practice and better shifting I know I will do better. Im probably going to step down to a 3.70 again so I dont need 5th gear at drag radials.
Took it to the track to get used to the t56 on drag radials. Of course being my first time out, the 60' was trashed and my shifting was less than optimal. I granny shifted bc of the stock tranny but whatever.
Anyways...the problem. On a shift (not powershifting) the front nose drops so much that it pops the inner fender liners out on the front. I have QA1s in the front with 300lb springs. Even on a hard decel, it will scrub in the front. What do I need to do to help correct this? Is the shock too hard? to soft? spring rate wrong? Does something need to be stiffer or softer? Any help or insight is appreciated!!

If you start shifting fast enough the front will not drop.
It will be almost impossible to get a stick car to 60 with drag radials. The optimal stick car set-up is a 28 x 10.5S Drag Slick with 4.56 gear set.
Good luck

Yea Ive got some 28" et drags but I figured I would make some play runs on the "street" tires

I now have a goofy qa1 spring that has a part # on it that doesn't correlate to any of the fbody springs, but they seem to be working so I'm not gonna mess with it.
I'm not a stick car though, so it's somewhat irrevelant.
