roll bar questions TBYRNE is nice enough to sponser a group purchase price on roll bars, & i was hoping you guys could answer this, i got a ss convertible, so i need a roll bar, but what type, i'm thinking 6 point chro/moly powdercoated black, but should i get weld in or bolt in? what are your opinions on both, bolt in sounds easier, but is it as legal? help me make up my mind, thanks

Re: roll bar questions nhra rules allow bolting or welding to be legal. If you decide to bolt, a few words from the rulebook: "using 6-inch x 6-inch x .125-inch steel plates with at least four 3/8-inch bolts and nuts."
There ya go, personally I'd weld it, stronger and stiffens the car better. Just my $.02
