torque arm, lower control arms would be your best bet and some subframe connectors to stiffen thigns up. if your interested i have 3 point subframe connectors for sale that are brand new from umi.

+1
For my 1st suspension mod I added crossmember mounted torquearm, subframe connectors, lower control arms, and an adjustable panhard bar. 60' times were .05 better even with the extra wt. of the components.
If I had to do over, the only thing I would change would be to get "on-car" adjustable LCA's and panhard bar.

I could use some suspension too, my car will not dead hook anymore.

Lca arms helped a lot getting rid of wheel hop but to me it seems like they make my car spin a lot easier now.

well the car hooks good with the DRs, but i think with some suspension upgrades and slim fast my car would be in the mid 12s on motor.

What about drag shocks, they are only 89 from speed inc.

I know you said you didn't want to talk about a converter....but,
I was doing 1.9 60's before I added a TCI 3000 and 3:73 gears, after it was mid 1.7's all day long.
1.89 is pretty respectable for what you have... nice!
