Default Fire Suits

What kind of suits/jackets are you guys using for 8.50 and slower?

My Simpson jacket is old and I need jackets/parts for my licence runs.

Any ideas on brands/prices that are any good?

Thanks

IMPACT, I love all my stuff. My dad has Simpson everything for his dragster and I would choose IMPACT any day over Simpson.

IMPACT is pretty pimp.... an SFI 5 suit that you are going to need though is going to IMPACT your wallet for the tune of 500+ dollars....

I bought Gforce stuff. It fits fine, and I've had no problems so far with it, price was decent.

Impact is the ****, but dam pricey. I was just looking at there stuff today at the Mac tools U.S. Nationals. But for the money, it is hard to beat the Jegs out fit and it is legal.

I LOVE my Impact! Well worth the extra cash when you are moving around or sitting inside the car all strapped in

Just for anyone who is looking for a jacket and want to know the difference in the SFI ratings. Oh and a single layer is good down to 10.0's. Any faster a double layer is required.

.

I've had a RCI for years. Lasted way longer than I expected for the money.

Going by your sheet Bitemark, I have about 9.5 seconds to stop the car and get out with the 3 layer jacket/pants/headsock/shoes/gloves I bought from Gforce.

I have had Simpson and now the Impact. I love the Impact-it's WAY lighter and fits WAY better than the other stuff. Well worth the extra money, especially on the hotter days.

Ya I was looking to get the same SFI rating for my jacket. I know you can't put a cost on safety but the price just about doubles when you go to the 3-2A10 rating. I guess I'll just have to save up a little more. I also think I'm going to go with a nomex material as opposed to proban. However, proban probably breathes better and will be cooler in the stages lanes.

I have nomex gloves and a head sock, and that **** is hot there's no lie about that.

When the stuff I have is shot/expired, I will probably go to the next level, but damn that **** is expensive.
