Default ET Streets: DR's or Slicks

Well, the time has come to get my own set of stickies (having borrowed and whored out some crusty nittos).

With my power level and mods, all in sig, which of the two would I be best of with? Personally, I was thinking slicks may be a little much, but I'd like some advice.

Oh, and these will going on a 16'' snowflake wheel.

You could get away with some drag radials....you are not making enough power to "overpower" a drag radial. A M6 car hits the tires harder compared to an automatic. Anyway, a ET street will work better, and a ET drag is typically the best choice for a manual car. The only thing is that with the weight of you car, the power level, and the gear.........you are more that likely going to bog the car with a full slick and will struggle to get out of the hole.

I would say a MT drag radial or a ET street would be the best bet.

Seeing that you are a M6 leave the street tires on untill you can afford a 12 bolt or a 9 inch rear.Slicks or drag radials are gonna pop the stocker on the first try.

Nah. Not on the 1st try. Been there w/ M6 w/ more power than he has.

mine went on the 4th try but it was a broken axle, the guts seemed ok.

i've already been to the track on drag radials, be it nitto's...

mike--i was thinking along the same lines you were thinking (i.e. bogging with a slick, etc.). i'll most likely go with the ET street radial, since i maybe go to the track once a year
