Question Nine bar info needed please-Experts only, no guessing

.

Have to add a nine bar to a car. Need to know what the exact location specs are. How far in front of existing bar is it needed.
I heard it's 1 1/4" @ .058 minimum?? Was thinking of adding 2 bars, one where required, & one more about where knees are.
Safety is more important than weight. Any info or thoughts, would sure help. Thanks guys.

Are you talking about the kidney bar in the cage? My SFI specs are at the shop.

The tech guy said to call it a "Nine Bar" & most chassis guys would know what I needed.
It's for under your legs on a 6.00, 25-1E car. The car has the kidney bar. Nobody caught the nine bar missing.
The damn thing got certed every year, Pro sticker & no one said anything until now. New NHRA guy in Chicago.
It just came out of chassis shop, but I had no idea what it was, or it was missing. I would have had them do it.
Don't want to order wrong material & weld in wrong place. I have a TIG & can hand fit one bar.
Really don't need to buy specs for one bar. The car is done & racing. Any info you have, would help a ton.
Thanks Madman.

The 9 bar is the seat mount bar. The seat has to be mounted to a 1 1/4" x .058 tubing. Email me and I can send you some pics.

Email sent, thanks Madman.

My seat is not mounted to the floor. It's a cage with a piece of alum sheet metal.

My thought was to put 2 bars (actually 4, 1 bar on each side of diagonal) equally spaced from the back horizontal
(bar on jackstand) to the front horizontal. I have no idea if there is a exact location required from that back bar??

Thanks again.

I would run the bar across where the crotch strap attaches. 2 pieces are fine.
