Default carbed ls1's

i am building a sleeved 427 ci ls1 its going to have a big solid roller cam. 13 to 1 comp and afr heads that flow 390 on the intake.i am going to put a carb on it with a plate and a fogger system what cfm carb should i be looking for to put on it ?

Call the Demon tech line at Barry Grant... that's what I did for my carb set-up. Those guys are very helpful. But make sure you've got all the details for your set-up handy when you call, as they will have 1000 questions.

you need to provide more info than what you did.....cam specs, head specs, race weight, tranny specs, converter specs, gear ratios for the tranny and rear, target engine rpm

side note if you have a complimenting exhaust system to match the flow of your cyl. heads your gonna need (can use) some serious cfm on that carb.

X2 for pro systems, great guys over there and Patrick is top notch when specing out a good carb. Hell I have a Pro Systems sticker on my car and still run the stock fuel injection, but will go carb when the new motor is finished...

If you are using two kits on a 13 to 1 ls1, I would consider using a iron block for strength.

i would rather lower the compression a point and put more nitrous through the motor...
