Default Owned in the final by Limp Home Mode.

Got my air bag lined out, my QTP's are hooking like a raped ape. I cut a 1.62 short time, 10 passes in a row!

Since the 3rd Rnd, I didn't cut worse than a .533 light.

I get to the Final, dialed 7.73. Guy next to me is dialed 8.32.

He cuts a .632 light, I'm ramped up and let her rip to a .518 light! Then Murphy rained on my parade. I guess I had it ramped up too long and it went into Limp-Home mode and launched in 2nd gear. Ran a 8.06 on 7.73 dial.

Limp-Home mode

Is there anyway to disable that?

I had the same thing happen to me on a bye run. For some reason they waited a long time to drop the tree. I try not to be on the converter for more than 3 seconds.

Rick it can be disabled with custom tuning via LS1edit. I believe it's Code PO502. I've had it knock me out of eliminations several times. Especially since that ST3500 loves to be stalled up. It's a hard hitter. You'll gettem next time.Take care!

A Harlan 2-step set at 2900rpm does the trick for me. I don't even glance at the tach anymore. I just concentrate on the tree.

How does that 2-step work? How does it know when it's time to go without a T-brake and button?

I have LS1Edit, but I don't know how to use it. How/where in Edit do I disable the code?

I like to stall mine up to about 3000-3200, then it flashes to 4000-4100!

My ST3500!

It wires in between your coils and PCM so it can limit revs by controling spark.
It's hooked to a momentary button and the brake light switch.
I prestage. Then with my foot on the brake push the button once. I bump slowly into the stage beams, hold the brake pedal tight, and floor the go pedal. The 2-step holds the revs at whatever I set it at until I let off of the brake. Then bam!! WOT
One added note. You can NOT run this 2-step with cats on the car.

Exactly, the 2-step limits revs by droping spark to the cylinders. Your throttle body and injectors are at WOT so there's raw gas going into the exhaust.
2-step + cats could = BOOM
That's what off-road y-pipes are for
