OK, so its not ls1 based, but hey- i tried to get another ls1- but no one had one that i was looking for, nor would anyone deal.... so this is what i ended up getting..
Its a 84 z-28 car, built up basically from every corner.. There are a couple things that might get some attention later on, Hood, paint, etc.. but im very happy about the buy!! I mean.. really happy..
Just a couple things about the car:
9inch ford 35spline axles, 4.10 gear with aluminum case center section.
Torque arm by spohn with re-locater bracket
disc brakes.
Fuel plumed..
14pt cage
All stock interior- sorta still looks factory(thats what i like about it)
Hurst quarterstick
Drive shaft loops
Boxed subframe connectors
Autometer guages oil, temp, boost, tac, speedo.
Still has power windows, and a cd player..
Etc.. etc..
Motor:
364 cubic inch (started with a nickel block 1970 block..
Ross Pistions
Jessel RollerRockers
Knife Cut crank.. etc, etc, etc,, to much done to the motor to list..
CnC ported Brodex Track 1 aluminum heads
Brodex airgap type alum intake
C/S blowthrough carb
630 lift roller cam..
Vortech Supercharger.. 9pound (conservative)
Turbo 400 transmission w/ 4000 stall converter with kevlar blowproof bellhousing shield.
This car sounds so sick.. It has been ran in the 1/8 with times slips to show 6.40-6.50's at 108-112mph..
Its best 60 foot has been a 1.36..
With a F1 setup @ 20pounds - ran 5.67 in 1/8th...
Car is and should be a capable 9.50-9.90 car in the quarter with current supercharger setup.. ya.. gotta love 10.5 inch tire cars!!!
Let me know what you guys think.... made a smart move?
Its shows well next to my D1SC 01 procharged m6 - so ya guys wont hound me to bad with the 3rd gen...
