Default Best way to launch my A4

I'm going to the track next weekend. My best 60' is a 1.80 on M/T drag radials. I've tried different techniques. Hammer it off the line, raise the rpms to 1500. Can't seem to get out of the 1.8's. Also, I've read about people raising their rpms to 2800, how and the hell do you do that??? I can raise the rpm's to about 1800 before it starts moving forward. And thats standing on the brakes. Is it because I have stock calipers? Also, my car seems to bog off the line when I raise the rpms. ???

I'm looking for that 10 second slip. I know every car is different, but I should be cutting better 60's than that.

What converter do you have, and what rear end gear? Does the car spin at all? With the mods in your sig it should go alot better than 1.8s, your sig says you have a 3400 but it should still footbrake higher than 1800, and should flash to alot more than that.

My convertor (in sig) is a Yank 3400 extreme. Stock 10-bolt with 3.23's. It starts creeping at 1800 rpms. How do you get it to flash? Hammer it off the line? No spinning at all. You can see my launch in my video at the bottom of my sig.

I do have a new cam over my best time. It averaged 35 rwhp/55 rwtq, so hopefully in the cooler air and the added power, I will get my 1st 10 second slip.

You don't want to stall the car high as the car will "push" from the beams versus trying a slightly lower rpm which will allow the car to "launch" and use the suspension. My Nova has a 3800 stall converter and I usually launch it about 1700-1900 rpm. Experimenting is the best solution as every car is different. Make passes with consistent temperatures and techniques (2 at each setting if you can to eliminate freak runs) and you'll get your answer!
