Which 10pt Cage for keeping useable T-tops?
Which cage allows for use of t-tops? Do you guys modify them or they able to work with them right off the bat?
I am close to ordering, just want use of my t-tops and not to go through rear speakers.

My seat's leaned back about 10 to 15 degrees, nothing drastic. I'm just tall, and with the helmet on the helmet will hit the padding that's on the bar. I have some 1 3/4 thick padding that's SFI approved on the cage, if I went with the thinner 1 inch stuff it wouldnt' be as bad, but I'd rather have the extra padding.
I'm just big, and with the way that the roof's on these cars is a good bit narrower then the floor, there's limited room.
Someday when the car gets a 25.2 setup it's really gonna be a pita.

I don't have any pics with the t-tops on but I can get my fingers in there and take them off as you can see

That's not a ton different then mine is, my rear main hoop sits a little lower though I think, have to have the 2 cars next to each other to really tell.
Someday when it gets redone to a 25.2 I'll cut the whole thing out and get it in there really tight.

Talk about hitting stuff, sitting in a stock seat, leather, lowered as fas as it can go, but more up right for racing. I put my helmet on and I got about 1 finger width clearence at best.
When I dump the clutch at 5k and if im not hunched down a little I bang my head on the T top, im 6' 4" tall. Its Annoying.

[QUOTE=98CamZ28;10202135]With my 25.5 setup, the head room isn't terrible and i'm about 6'2". This of course was a custom setup and we made sure to make it as close to the roof as we could while keeping the stock floor.

Nice setup! I take it wolfe 10pt wouldnt be as tight to the roof. I like how yours looks.

I can't tell you how the mild steel will fit because it's 1 3/4" tubing. Mine fit nice "off the shelf" Only changes I made were to the cross bar (sat a little low with too much gap on the bottom side) and made a passenger side sill bar. I just called and placed an order for the 10 pt. Nothing special.

Best thing to do is have a fab shop make it custom. That way it will fit where you want it, or bring the car to s&w, or anyone of that caliber and have them build it in the car.
I guarintee that you'll be happy with it if ya take that route to getting it done, a kit, sometimes doesn't always fit like you want, and you're stuck with it.

That's about normal I think, usually they go for about 100 to 150 per point.
Trust me, if you can get into a good fab shop to have it done it's worth it. I have a pretty decent guy that does that type of stuff for me, I'm happy with how mine came out for the most part, if I was there while it was being done I would have had it done a little different, but live and learn on that one.
Someday when I sell my car and start another project, I know 100% a few things that I will do differently right from the get go, that will save me a ton of $ and time in the long run.
First thing I'd do, is find good clean strait bodied V6 car and just shitcan everything, in the long run it would be alot cheaper, and easier in alot of ways. Hell 99.9% of everything that the factory did I have undone or modified somehow, and starting off with a cloth interior, crank up windows and a hardtop would have been nice.
