Default wheel question....

mounting up the 15x10 holeshot's and apparently the back of the rim is hitting the rotor? what the hell could cause this. buddy I bought them from with his TA didn't have this issue and wasn't running a spacer....

I have powerslot rotors...aren't they the same as stock rotors?

hitting the rotor? then it has to be hitting the caliper also........

not really sure how to explain it, put the wheel on loosely spin it no rubbing, tighten it down w/ the lugs about half way nothing, go all the way and the back of the face of the wheel is hitting where the studs are on the rotor.

I literally can't spin the wheel when it's tightened down....any suggestions on why?

well the rotor spins with the wheel so it must be hitting the caliper some where.

I think you're meaning to say its hitting the caliper, its not physically possible for the rim to "hit" the rotor (it is mounted to it after all). Holeshots do not fit without some brake grinding, just like most drag wheels.

i would spin them and tighten them a 1/4 turn on the lugs till they start to hit then spin them a few turns and look for marks.

well I'm sure this is part of the problem, just pulled the wheels off and now apparently the studs are spinning in the holes? they are screw in studs from Moser installed by them when I got my axles....wtf?

do I just screw them back in and loctite them? doesn't inspire any confidence in that type of stud for me....

I have srew in 5/8 studs, there' a big locknut on the back, and we used alot of red loctite on them, haven't had a single one come loose.

You have to gridn the calipers with those wheels if you are still running stock brakes, either that or oget drag brakes for the rear of the car and that will solve the problem.
