ls2 question
ls2 question Figure id ask here cause im sure you guys buy motors more often then others...
My buddy has a ls2 out of a TBSS with 30k on it. His dad works for a dealership and the truck needed new cats but they thought it was the motor so they put a new motor in it and he got this one. I have a chance to pick it up for $2k, good price? Fair enough i can pass it up and get one later down the road? AND since its out of a truck does that motor have anything different on it as opposed to a GTO. like the heads, fuel system or anything?

only difference between them i believe is the fan setup. TBSS ls2 uses fan/fan clutch assembly where gto ls2 uses electric fans. you could ditch the fan setup on the ls2 from the tbss and use yours from the lt1 i believe. i know a bunch of tbss guys have done the electric ls1/lt1 fan swap
