Default When do I need a roll cage?

At what point to you need a roll cage(bar) in a t-top car? What are the differences between the weld in and bolt ins? Are they both legal? Sorry for so many questions, but I'm about to get on the GP and I need to know which cage to get for my application. BTW I need to be able to run high 10,s. So what cage do I need?
