no it came with 317 heads but im using those on the ls6 block that came out of car for a my turbo build which will either go back in the camaro or in something else, as for lq9 it took 3 months of tunning to get those results and the 241 heads do bump the comp ratio up to about 11.2.1 which is part of the result

lq4/lq9 & l92 (and l76 i think) are all LSx based motors, for trucks. they are iron blocks though.

to the OP, why not use the lq9 for the turbo build? makes sense when considering boost: iron > aluminum

well if it was going to build lqx motor lq4 would have been a better place to start but im building the ls1 that came out of it for boost cause it has low miles on it, under 40k , its lighter, and with an engine girdle can be just as robust as the iron blocks out there to point, id say over 1000hp then youd have to give it to iron blocks but im looking to just about 800 plus i road course my car so thats already over kill at that point anyway

Only if they've been milled. Otherwise you're around 10.6:1.
LQ9 is same bore, stroke and pistons as the LS2, which is 10.9:1.
LQ9 #317 heads: 71.06 cc
LS1 #241 heads: 66.67 cc
LS2 #243 heads: 64.45 cc
You'd have to mill those #241s by about 0.035" for 11.2:1
