With the minimal milling on the heads and this cam, you'll be running either a 7.40" or 7.425" pushrod.
Great, ill be watching for it!

What would it take to make 500 at the wheels with this cam? What would this car pick up with a FAST and what was the exhaust on this car exactly

A ported FAST with a good throttle body, maybe some headers with better collectors, depending on which exhaust maybe a cutout would gain a bit more, lighter wheels, carbon fiber driveshaft, roller rockers, electric water pump, depending on what kind of temps the car was running at it may benefit from a lower temp thermostat, all of these would help.

Im sure with that kind of power its got a magnaflow or similar exhaust.

What I want to know is if this cam is good for a 383 or just for stock cubes? I already have the PRC LS6 2.5 heads.

I'm doing the install for Josh and thinking about the ptv clearance scares me! I finished tearing it down tonight and it will start going back together tomorrow, probably will not finish it up until Monday or Tuesday.

Off topic but, you TSP guys need to give me the low down on your shop car. I watched it lay down the 9.8x in Memphis and have decided that is my next project. I have a TA thats going to be about 2800 2900#'s with me in it and that would be the perfect setup for it. Low 10's high 9's on motor is the goal.

Josh, let us know if you run into any issues during the install that we can help with. Piston to valve clearance will not be a problem

There's a thread in the single digit forum that talks more in depth about our racecar.

TSP

Can one of you guys elaborate a little more about the drivability/powerband of this cam?

I was going to be putting the tourquer 3 with your 5.3 heads on my car but after seeing this, this combo looks great.

I havent driven a car wither a torquer 3 in it yet, but i have read a lot of posts and they say its good for making power down low and pulling all th eway through the powerband.

On the tsp website your t3 cam says powerband is 2300-6800

now this new tsunami cam is listed at 2000-6600, is this cam making more power down low and more power overall over the tourqer?

lol now im tied between which cam to get

so basically looking for tsp's or somone's input on this

That is with no tuning. I could believe it started up and idled, it is hunting some but it was maintaining a idle at 750rpm. I will weld the o2 bung in it and start tuning the idle tomorrow and hopefully it will stop raining so we can get all the tune done.

We got the VE done tonight and will do the MAF tomorrow and then the WOT done. Getting the idle close was a PIA. It surprised me how pleasant it is to drive. His car had a 222/222 566/566 112 in it and you can tell no difference in the driveability.

Honestly, I tried to talk Josh out of buy a big cam after I pulled my TR224 cam infavor of a 228/228 581/581 112 and it killed .15 off what my car normally ran (but my mph went up 1.5), swapped them back and picked my .15 back up.

Have pretty much the same set up you have dont have a fast or the 85mm maf. It was dumped after the y pipe in the vid but have a bullet muffler dumped after the y and it really made a difference

Well driveability seems fine to me , i can tell it lost a little low end becasue i have to give it more gas to start off in second than i use to but other than that it seems the same till around 2500-3000 and then depending on what gear im in it either breaks them loose or hauls ***. I reallly like it thanks to the guys at TSP especially Matt for all there help.
