Base Line Pull 09 G8
#6
I will re-dyno in fourth to see what I end up with. I did'nt know every one else was useing 4th due to the ratio. This was done for me at work, lets see where that puts the numbers at.

Let us know the 4th gear numbers. I know there is no 1:1 in the G8 A6 so I'm assuming, according to what you said, that 4th is closer to 1:1 than 3rd, so I'm curious to see how much of a difference it makes.
You chose the best color available for the G8s, by the way. I tried to convince my brother to buy the blue one when he was shopping for his and was tempted to just buy it myself after he got his red one.
EDIT - just found these gear ratio specs for the G8 A6 trans:
1st: 4.03
2nd: 2.36
3rd: 1.53
4th: 1.15
5th: 0.85
6th: 0.67
Looks like 4th or 5th will give similar numbers but third might throw it off a bit.

Wow, check out the M6 gear ratios for the G8:
1st: 3.01
2nd: 2.07
3rd: 1.43
4th: 1.00
5th: 0.84
6th: 0.57
That is a steep first gear, even shorter than my MN12. I bet it will be a tire roaster with any sort of aftermarket gears with that kind of torque and that first gear. Everything else is the same as the MN12 except for sixth, which is a .56 in the MN12.

Wife now wants to come by after work to make the pull again, so we can keep track of what each mod is worth. I really like the color also, but think the white or black would have been our next choice.

White is also awesome, but I personally couldn't turn down that blue color. Let us know how it does in fourth!

I'm working on 1 right now.Made 304hp/320tq on my dyno in 4th.
After headers, pulley ect with stock mufflers it's at 326hp/345tq.
Be carefully on the tuning.I was able to get more hp with timing when not under a load but when loaded it would ping like a bastard.

One of our customers has ARH LT w/ mid pipes stock mufflers, powerbond pulley, rotofab CAI, MAF heat soak harness w/ IAT sensor, yank 3200, and tune made 365.60hp 375.24tq this was also a 3rd gear pull we will put it back on the dyno for 4th gear pull. He should pick up more than I did, cuz of mods.
