And how many miles is on this setup? I'd say with a few thousand miles it will pick up another 5-10rwhp.

There was 400 on it saturday on the dyno. But I agree it will lossen up over time. Also, most I have seen with the hp in or around the 600 mark have less of a torque curve and less pk tq so I just figure this is a little more balanced??

I don't know if it will go that long before freshed up, being a solid roller motor.

With the cam profile I am running it isn't as bad as a setup like yours. That is why they run .002 cold lash so that way it is dependable as a hydraulic. The only thing I am thinking is springs after 2 years.

1st time out ran a 6.94 @ 99 with a 1.517 60 ft.
Car had 3/4 full gas tank and in full street trim except some wore out drag radials. Spun all thru 1st with a launch at 5k and trying to shift to 4th, wasn't sure if the rpm would make it. And this is on a lowered car with factory shocks and little to no squat.

This was my first time at an 1/8 mile track. Any guesses as to what it should run in the 1/4?? Thanks guys.

You sure you didn't let out early or something, if you shifted to 4th im sure it killed the MPH but not sure by how much. With that 60' and the power the car is making it should be running a better ET number than that. Not knocking your car at all because I know the power is there, something just seems a miss. Assuming you ran at Mooresville?
I'd guess the car would pick up a ton over the norm in the final 1/8th if traction is that bad once it hooks up and runs out. From the 60' though it seems like its hooking pretty good. My best at Mooresville with 440rwhp was 7.02@100 but im sure my cars 300+lbs lighter. Not sure what it runs now that I have 20 more rwhp and a better hp/tq curve.

Suspension is the key. But the MPH seems low for your engine. My 408 Ran a 6.82 @ 101.9 in the 1/8. On some 6.90's passes it still pulled 101.What are you shifting at? I noticed when I shift mine around 7000 it is way slower than when I shift at 7400. And my cam isn't a solid roller. On my 6.90's passes It ran 10.80's @ 125.

What gears you guys running? I have 4:10's not sure but I am pretty sure that was hurting me in the 1/8.

Trust me, there is some more in this setup. We feel this is a 6.6/6.7 car all day long.

I have 3.73's with a 28" tall tire. You will get 6.6/6.7 out of it. What heads are you running.

Best MPH was 102 running it all out in 3rd. The tires never took a bite til the 1-2 shift. Really needs slicks and some rear suspension work.

Actually I wasn't the driver for that run (actually had someone that knew what they were doing to run the car). Weight of the car without driver as it sits was 3520. Running TFS 245's
And yes fastest mph was 102 last night.
