Back on the dyno today. With the lash opened up very little from last time and the true duals and bigger t/body and 24 degrees timing the final numbers on the same dyno were 570/525. When we first put it up there the pull resulted in 554/490 so with getting the tune dialed in I feel we picked up a good bit and being 100% real numbers I am happy with the results for a street NA car with a heavy driveline. I will get the graph posted up later. It also pulled a little higher as well. Most likely from the exhaust. Sure a sheetmetal would help but I can honestly say I am happy with the car.

Nice gains, did you tune on race fuel this time? You went from 18 to 24*?

^^^Real numbers. No tricks. Went to 24 degrees cause the cylinder temps were cooler due to the open exhuast compared to the old setup.

I'm glad your happy with the numbers. Sounds like a good improvement. Question, why did you stop at 24* of timing? Did you hear knock? On my 427 motors 28* was perfect and actually it wanted more. Each motor is different, so that's why I'm asking.

I do have a graph. I will post up tomorrow. The car did not like anymore than 24 on the pump gas with the amount of compression we are running?? I am not a tuner by any means so I leave that stuff up to the guy that knows what he is doing. Don't get me wrong, I know this thing isn't maxed out and number 2 I know of 2 other dynos I can put this on to get a number everyone is looking for (happy dynos) This dyno will humble most on this site if they put their car up on it that is why I am happy with the results. If it were one of the other dynos putting down these numbers I might question it alittle more but not on this one. Thanks guys.

Its 12.5/1 on 93 octane, 24* timing is very impressive without knock.

So glad to hear that you solved 1/2 of the problems that were holding you back. You picked up a ton with the retune due to swapping the old exhaust for true duels. I wouldn't worry about a sheetmetal anything now. The only thing a sheet metal intake will do is let you make more hp at the cost of lowend torque. I say that because you did say this is a street car right ?? If she was going to be a 1/4 mile queen then I'd say sheetmetal all day long.

Awesome update brother, I am very happy for you. Can we get some video of the car in motion soon ?? I'd like to see/hear some in car video, or at least a nice driveby. Thanks in advance.

This is why I said what I said. Stay away from the sheetmetal unless you are going to race all the time at the track.

No need to lose lowend torque when you are going to be on the street.

Those pics hurt my eyes. Am I really seeing them under the axle?

Yes you are. If you look you can see the easy access to remove the rear part. The work was done very proffessionally and most who have seen this in person are impressed. Including one who quoted me to do it over the axle.. With the housing I am running there is no way to get 3" x2 over the axle unless I plan on beating the underside of my car for clearance which is NOT proffessional.
