texas speed 408?
ok im thinking about getting the 408 iron stroker ls1 short block from texas speed. callies compstar crank and rods and wiseco dish pistons. I am going to have to run with a ls6 intake and patriot 205cc 2.02/1.57 heads. i have heard these heads will flow to 296 cfm at 600 lift. they are 59cc heads so i am gonna need some dish pistons...i am going to get it set for highest commpression possible on pump gas and am going to run texas speeds recommended cam. any idea with ls6 intake and the heads listed above how much power i should expect to be putting down through a 4l60E and 2800 stall?.....i know the setup seems kind of chinsy but im on a budget and will wind up with a better setup later. any idea's on whp #?'s thanks in advance

with those heads through an auto proly...450-460 hp ish? with proly 450-470 trq....your giving up alot using those heads...with a nice set of ported ls3 heads and a 408 stroker cam "custom", 11.5-1 cr my buddies laid down 552 rwhp through a 6 speed

damn so my heads and intake may wind up costing me around 60whp? any would there be anything wrong with just having my heads ported out more? which would be a little more budget friendly than buying new ones.

and to add to those 2 questions.....if i put down say 450-460ish with 450-470 tq...assuming i can hook, what kind of 1/4 mile time could i expect knowing i ran a best of 12.0 with consistant 12.1's with 402hp/381 ft pounds
