Big runner with the right velocity is going to perform well with the right size valve on the right cube with the right cam.

This is a very interesting setup.
my 364 l92 l76 - with a 23(5?) / 24(5?) cam - .6 lift 112 lsa - 1-7/8th victor JR headers- Is makin the same torque down low- peaks at the same location but Im peakin with 420hp. There is slight tuning and a better exhaust required to see my setup peak but its interesting to see how much more power this combo is making.

some people say cucumbers taste better pickled-
Its not an all motor build so Im not super worried about it. 40 hp is nothin to be worried about on a 110 degree vegas dyno with my backyard built car.

Kind of validates my LS7 stroker setup ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
I liked the idea of a small cam pushing out good power.
Better idle, emissions and fuel economy over the previously traditional approach of mega cams, large cathedral heads and fast top end.
Im sure GM would not have released new heads if the older cathedrals were superior. Especially with economy and performance requirements both increasing.

The car is mine, I'm very impressed and excited about the work that Patrick did; great cam specs for big numbers under the curve and still retains awesome driveability around town.
The heads are untouched, stock GM .054" MLS gaskets, and they're the solid valves; static comp is around 10.4:1. For an SLP lid, stock untouched MAF, and cats I thought the numbers were pretty damn good.
Big thanks again to Patrick and Kurt getting it running so well!

And It runs like a bat out of hell! I was at the races this past weekend, in fact I first talked to you when you pulled into the show. I'm going with an LQ9, now that my LS1's gone. After seeing/hearing/watching your car, and talking with Pat G about the cam he spec'd for my LS1 going into the 6.0, I'm leaning towards the L92 heads!
