Haha, well I beat my brother in his Z06 so I was happy. The car ran well. Definitely do the L92s, they are a piece of art. I can't believe that a factory cast head can perform that well; and I bought mine for only about $500!

Man what a nice curve, I bet that's one snappy bitch.

Patrick, what's a good target seat pressure and rate for the LSL lobes?

damn. that is exactly what i would like my torque curve to look like.

i think my next car, which will likely be a vette, is going to be going this route. If i dont put a maggie on it, that is.

Is the LS3 head the same of L92 except the valves are hallow?

Do WCCH have a plan to produce a L92 head that fit the 3.9 bore "LS1, 346ci"?

Thanks...

GM Performance Parts already has an L92 type head to fit the LS1 bore. Look at the latest catalog to see, not sure what the price is though.

This is interesting, Run of the mill L92 swaps on 6L are making 460rwhp. This one in particular with low compression. Get it up to 11 ish and there is 475. I have seen 228-232s make 460 with a comp bump through 4.11s and 230-234-114 make 480 with comp bump. And one of the sponsors has made over 500, with the latest WCCH heads and FAST manifold. Some shops here making 500 with a 237-243 on 111+0 on stock comp although low end is terrible! 12:1 comp is then required, Pats setup with better ex deleted MAF and more comp would be at 480hp and eat the big cam under the curve. RPM motors have been still using the 224-228 114 xer cam getting 470. same cam propelled SS Enforcers VE-G8 to 11.6@119 mph full weight still has not been matched.

Can you show me the link..dont think its out yet. Didnt find on their site.

I think its only MAST that has these kind of heads but at an outragous price. Better stick with TFS/AFR for the same price IMO. I checked out and its 1300$ for unassembled EACH!!!! But they flow damn great I'd say; 353/257 at 700 lift

Interesting build. I'm a 4x4 guy with an LS2 going into a buggy right now. Just as a point of reference, in a car like that about what would the power be at the crank? RWHP means little in a buggy with a t-case behind the trans, 6.72:1 reduction in the axles and 47" tires.

Very impressive dyno. I was planning to leave my engine stock for now but given the affordability of such a mod may just go ahead and do this and be done with it.

You are right

I found it on the GMPP

They specifiy it for 3.9" bore, but it is not CNC

They don't have a price tag for yet...

In order to find it, you need to brows the GMPP catalog under the LS heads...

Congratulation to the customer and Patrik G (Cam Dr.) ...

Bump to the top, as there are some jr tech'ers needing this great info in regards to using L92/ls3 heads with stock 6.0L short blocks.
Hope this helps...

400 ft-lbs at 3200 rpm is good. I know that none of you guys try to cruise up the mountains west of Denver at 850 rpm in sixth gear, but I think the 205cc AFR cathedral ports would make measurably more torque at 850 rpm than these L92 heads.

what is the overlap? If used with milled heads in a ls2 to get stock compression back would it make any more power and still clear?

A fast 460 rwhp ls2(100+rwhp over stock) on a cheap budget build like that? **** thats freakin amazing to me...A set of trick flows probaby cost more than the entire build Im not a fan of budget builds personally but i mean damn that is a lot of bang for the buck imo....

If I put this heads, cam, intake, tb combo on my iron block 6.0 I should see similar numbers right? Or is there something I'm missing? I really like seeing over 350ft lbs at 2300 rpm!

As long as your 6.0L is an LQ9 with flat top pistons like the LS2 6.0L block that Kevin used in this build. Most 6.0L iron blocks are lower compression LQ4s and they will limit the torque and hp ability compared to the LQ9s.
