Pat G's old 346 WS6 car had a custom 4 y pipe and it made 511 rwhp 440+ rwtq. I'd imagine if you are thinking about staying with Y setup and not going true Duals then you need a something like that to let the car breath (exhale) better. Maybe even a 4 1/2 with dual 3 inch outlets. Anyways check with Pat for more info on the custom Y. I I remember right there might have been a cut out in there too. Good luck.

I don't get what the SAE & STD #'s mean. My 402ci got near 520hp and 470tq. thats all I know. so What does that SAE stuff mean?

I feel those numbers are about right on for your size cam and compression. 2nd atleast you know those are real numbers and not inflated to make you feel good. I would let it break in some and look into a better exhaust and what ever it does it does. I was doing the same thing you are right now chasing a number, that is all it really is at the end of the day.

If you were to take it and put it on another dyno just the way it sits and it put down 20 more hp and/or tq would you be happy? Think about it, the car is still the same just one dyno was higher, does it make your car any faster? No. Get it to the track and dialed in. Should run in the 10's if you get the weight and suspension setup properly. That's not too bad for a street car imo.
