Default Dyno #s PRC 5.3L & Torquer v2

I just dynoed my new Head/Cam setup and I want to know what you think about the #s. The car is 99 Camaro SS, 68k miles. Mods : PRC 5.3L stage 2.5 62cc with mls gm gaskets, Torquer v2 232/234 .595 .598 112 LSA, ARH 1 3/4 headers w/ catted Y pipe, LS6 intake w/ port&polish TB, Powerbond pulley, SLP LID, MSD 8.5mm wires...all goodies and free mods. I have also changed: LS2 timing chain & gears, TSP ported ls6 oil pump, ls7 lifters, PRC springs, TSP pushrods, Katech rods bolts, Lucas 42 lbs injectors...

Through a T56 with a Tex OZ700 Z grip, 3 in steel driveshaft, moser 9in w/ locker & 4.11s... full suspension...

The car is tune with the MAF, 3in open cutout in the I, I got 420rwhp @ 6000 and 410 rwlbs of tq. I was expecting a higher powerband like 430 rwhp @6300 and 400 lbs. But I'm happy and I think the #s are good. Maybe a bit more if I go Speed density.

On the track, i ran 12.17 @ 120 mph, 60' 2.04, M/T ET street drag radial 255/50/16. With a good 60' its a mid 11 high 11 car.

I'm sorry I dont have the dyno sheet, had some problem with the pc, i have one, but it was not perfectly tune run. Tell me what you think. Thanks !!

Here'S a video on the dyno : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVMM6...e=channel_page

The hp seems about right but yea I would have thought with that size cam on a 112 it would have been at a higher rpm, I wonder if it has any advance ground in. My cam is a 112+4 giving it a 108 ICL and it peaks at 6200.

ItzQuik - With a fast intake and no cat, I think 440-450 is very possible.
MrElectric03 - I didn't degree the cam, maybe the cam has more advance ground in on dot-to-dot.

Based on the peak numbers, looks pretty accurate considering the very heavy drivetrain and p/p LS6 intake. I'd imagine 440+ with a ported FAST setup. I, too, am surprised about the early peak hp, though.

Yes LS6 Intake with P&P TB.
We've got problem after the dyno to print the dyno sheet, this is the only one we were able to print. I have to trace the line with a marker because the graph as shade and it dont appear after scan. And the scale is in speed , so i've write the rpm by hand. A/F is 1 point leaner because the wide band was after the cat, the tuner said 1 point leaner was ok. I'm suppose to have a other pull soon to have my final graph. Remember this is not the final tune pull but i'm sorry its the only graph I've got because we've major problem with the PC. I'M sorry !!

99ss m6
slp lid
stock tb
ls6 intake
slp headers
moser 9" 4.11

mine put down 406hp with a stock tb temps were in the 80's,I was hoping to put down atleast 420 oh well.
I think i can put down 440rwhp with a ported fast 92/92,85lid,and through the cutouts.but do I really want to spend 1,200 for 20rwhp

The very last HP are expensive...I've gained 17rwthp and 10rwtq with my ported FAST 92 and retune which was about 1500$...

The HP is about right through the 9". showing by your track results, I would not be worried. Trapping at 120 and running a 12.17 with a 2.0 60' is good. Get that 60' down to a 1.7ish and you'll be mid 11's

Fly Pantera - Do you have a Catted Y pipe and your TB is port?

Yes the last HP are expensive, I really want a 90/90 combo but I dont know if I want to spend 1500$, maybe a nitrous kit ! 100 shot to go in 10s sometime !

Yeah with 120 mph trap speed and 1.7 60', it's a mid 11s car I think!

Thanks for reply !

I'm not sure why your peak was 6k. On my Tv2 and GTP stg 2+ setup I did 435 @ 6450 w/ stock LS6 intake.
