Dyno tires
I have a tubbed Camaro and am planning on firing up a new LSX motor and tuning on a local dyno. Do large footprint tires change anything or do I need to install a more traditional width tire for tuning? THX

Any tire that has greater rotational interia will take additional power to accelerate it up to speed, so your engine will see a larger load. It's doubtful that you will find it neccessary to change your tune because of tire differences unless your going from a 26 to a 38" tall tire.

ALLNGN - Not very exciting to most of the guys here but it is for me...this is my first LS motor...a totally stock LS6. I am trying to get a little more out of it with a Meziere pump, ported stock TB and American Racing 1-7/8" SS Headers....T56 behind it with a RAM Dual Disc. It is going in my tubbed 69 Camaro. I'm excited because my car has been sitting for the last six years due to family responsibilities (my youngest is six now) and I am getting free time back now. I have been doing it on a low budget but it has been really fun. ALL OF THE GUYS here on this site are awesome...great advice and deals....got the 0-mile LS6 crate motor for $1750 and the 0-mile Stage III T-56 for $1000 and some horsetrading. I can't wait to fire this thing up. I'll try to post some pictures soon...THX!

I hear you N383.... :-) Just trying to finish details though...hard to spend a hundie or 2 when I need a lot of other details (X-member,fuel lines, fuel pump,etc)...adds up quick and I am still trying to stay within some kind of budget....
