To my understanding running with no MAF makes more power??? The car drives 10 times better without one to. I've seen where people have lost upwards of 15hp by going to a 9". Also I was turning heavy *** 28" drag radials with only 17psi in them. I have actually gone from 18psi to 30psi and picked up almost 20hp. Just a Dyno trick. And the last time my car was together it made 505 through the 9" and patriot heads. That was a different Dyno, this is a new one and is supposedly 10hp low from the norm.

What did your buddys car trap in the 1/8th?

We need to run one day. I'd like to see how I stack up to your car from a roll. I know you will prob walk me hard, but I'd like to see just how hard. I'm just a cam only car anyways with minor bolt ons.

What is your car trapping in the 1/8? It's prob gunna be 100-105 right? Which should put your right at 130 in the 1/4.

I'm pretty much full weight myself. I'm hoping for 93 with my 4.10's in the 1/8. Sounds like your car is running really good though.

Losing the maff will gain 5whp at the most just from it being out of the way. I have been tuned in Sd for 3 years and love it. To me its the only way to go. Its a lot easier to tune big cube and big cams and you can fine tune it to drive a lot better!

Yeah with a cam my size it's hard to get the MAF to read right all the time. Before I went speed density my AF reading would be different every pull I made. Supposedly the overlap in the cam would strew the MAF readings.

He told me gomer did it. I'm going to try and get him to do the TA speed density and see how that works out for me.

Hey man...nice numbers. Where did you get your mufflex exhaust? I emailed them yesterday about getting a custom 4" exhuast. How do you like it? Do you have a 3" Y pipe or 4" Y pipe?

I've got. Kooks 3" y-pipe with 3.5" inlets to a 4" outlet going to the 4" mufflex with a QTP 4" e-cutout. I like the way it sounds, but like stated I gain almost 30hp with the cutout open. The fitment was **** on mine. It was because I bought it used and the previous owner had welded the muffler to the inlet and outlet pieces. So I went to. Mufler shop and spent $50 to have it all made to work, and still is bolt on.

Port the intake, put better heads on and go with a 244-248 112lsa +2 cam and you'll pick up about 40 more HP and it will drive better.

its probably a little to late to do a cam swap and besides it sounds like he likes what he has and plans on doing heads and intake to match later.

I'm going to keep the compression where it's at, and possibly get some 72cc TFS heads to lower it a touch. I will be adding a blower(d1 or f1a) as soon as the funds come available.

Viprklr-I know those l92 heads work well. I just got a good deal on these patriots, and didn't want to change my intake setup. I got a feeling if I wanted to I could add some shaved 235's to up the compression and make well
north of most l92 setup's numbers.
