Default N/A 370ci dyno results.......sorta

The dyno's weather station wasn't working at all and wouldn't SAE correct the pulls, so all I have are uncorrected numbers. Weather was 83*F, 30.01" barom, 68% humidity. The dyno totally puked and quit reading entirely before I had a chance to spray it so had to quit early. Will try again when it gets fixed, and actually get some graphs.

Best uncorrected pull was 473hp/426tq.....SAE corrected (based on my math since dyno died) is 495hp/446tq. Can anyone verify I did the correction right for the given weather conditions? This is on a dynojet dyno if it matters. Don't know how much faith to put in the #s with all the problems the dyno was having, but I think it *should* be pretty close based on my race weight and corrected trap speeds (3900lbs, 120mph in 2700ft DA). Pulls were from 2500-7000rpm.

Engine:
370ci (12:1 scr, 8.7:1 dcr)
prc 5.3 heads
custom cam
ported Fast 92/92, direct port nitrous 200 shot
1 3/4" pacesetters, 3" duals, 1 chamber flowmasters
asp crank pulley

Drivetrain:
stock flywheel, spec 3 clutch
built t56
3" strange steel drive shaft
moser 9", 35 spline axles, 4.33 gears, detroit locker
15x10" prostars, 325/50/15 MT radials

Very nice. Pretty stout numbers, especially through the 9". Sounds real good too. What are you hoping it will run?

Right now the car is faster than the driver is.
On motor my best pass so far is 11.6 at 120mph 1.75 60' in 2700ft DA. Race weight is 3900lbs.

Yeah I figure it'd be pretty quick at a decent race weight, but this car is too nice to cut/gut just to go a lil faster.......that's what the nitrous if for.

It's a full weight '98 car (steel gas tank). Only things removed are ABS, EGR, AIR, windshield washer tank and spare tire/jack. Only real weight reduction is wheels/tires. Things added:

-iron block
-6pt cage, mild steel
-spohn sfc's, full length adj tq arm, lca's, phb, ds loop.....all mild steel
-moser 9", nodular iron center, 35 spline, detroit locker
-3" steel drive shaft
-nitrous system
-standalone fuel system for nitrous
-I weigh 215lbs
-3900lb was with me and half tank of fuel

What are the cam specs, if you want to keep it top secret can you at least give a few hints? Where did it peak? Thanks and great start for numbers.

Cam is upper 240's intake / mid 250's exhaust with under .625" lift on both sides. Cut on 110lsa, 107icl. It peaked at 6500rpm and carried flat to ~6800 before it fell off. Idles at 1000rpm, video of it in my sig. Once I get back on for some nitrous pulls I'll get some graphs to post up.

Sounds good! Did you build the motor yourself?

Your SAE correction looks spot on.

Quick calculation shows 496/447. But, I dropped a few decimal points..so your numbers look accurate.

Good work!

I can't wait to see numbers from that thing when you spray it.

Oh, and side-note, i'm going to have to flycut my pistons. With a .052 gasket, my intake ptv is .035 . Minus the .012 for the .040 cometics, and I'm left with .023 intake PTV.

You don't know anyone with a cutter tool do you? or maybe a ~2.05 valve I could use to make a tool?
