Default APS C5 Mild Street Build

This is NOT a max effort build, and I'm honestly very pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Some thought and planning went into speccing the motor and it paid off. Nothing outlandish, setup is as follows:

APS TT, only mod being filters directly on turbo's, inlets completely removed.
TSP 377 short, set up 9.25 SCR
Cometic 4.010 head gaskets
Patriot Stg 2.5 317's
Lingenfelter GT2-3 Camshaft
Lonnies Double Pumper fuel system
97-98 Rail Conversion
60# Mototron squirters
LS6 Manifold
Ported TB
ECS Alky Control Meth Kit (100% meth for now)
Stock 97-99 MAF (still screened)
Joe P Pro-Z Manual Boost Controller
Powerbond Underdrive Pulley
160* Thermostat
PBJ Tuning

Car drives and sounds stock (with a cat-back). It's quiet, smooth, and devilishly fast when the go pedal is pressed. There is a large inefficiency in teh APS twin IC's on the C5, IAT's were HIGH unfortunately. Boost is set at 14lbs, it peaks to 14.4 for a short time then settles at about 13.9 for the duration. Turbo's smoke only minimally after a full hard pull, which is surprising considering the oil they dump when I have the manifolds unbolted and the turbo's tilted down. Anyway, here's the end results:

760 RWHP, 761 RWTQ. I'm happy as a chopstick in rice.

Damn, those are some serious numbers! For a car that you say will drive and sound pretty much stock, that's insane!

Seriously. It's nothing fancy. Budget parts, nothing outlandish, car externally passes for a lightly touched car, and with the hood open there's not much to see.

Thanks all! I'm pretty happy about this (having ONE good car finally).

Definitely Joe. I'm VERY happy they way things came out and that you Nate and I were able to put our heads together on this one. It definitely paid off. Thanks a ton for everything you did for the build man.

Pretty docile actually. It'll get loose if you let it but it's got very linear power and is surprisingly nice to drive even when getting on it.

What an impressive setup man. Very low dollar investment with a big dollar return.

What do you think can be done to get those High IAT's down ? If you can't do you intend to lower the boost ?

Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy your car man. Its almost time to put them up.

Sending you a PM

I'm thinking about adding in a center mount intercooler and either leaving the twins as be or deleting them. I'm going to try a 70/30 mix first just to see what happens. NOT lowering the boost. It's on a manual controller and that's how I wanted it. Set it and forget it.

Trying to enjoy it but I've had it out once since monday. The kid eats all my time up which I'm fine with. Makes me enjoy the car that much more when I do drive it.
