Are you putting that monster in the GTO? That would be ridiculously sweet.

Yes. It's going in my 2005 IBM GTO that will be pretty much totally stripped of the interior. The car only had 7500 miles on it when I started this.

LOL...Only for the initial season and only if I can keep myself from using the transbrake. I have two center sections 3 sets of stub shafts and half shafts as spares. I will fab up a 4 link with tubs after toasting all of the stock stuff.

WOW thats an impressive setup for such a small budget.. All kidding aside , I would love to see what a setup like that would make with some changes and boost.

How much do you have invested at this point? i have thought about building a big cube lsx but i have a feeling the cost is insane compared to what you could get out of a smaller cubed built iron boosted motor.

i love the way that thing sounds....nice n quiet.

the LSx block is iron. the tall decks can make 511 CID i believe. he is using the standard deck height, so he can't do a 4.5 inch stroke like the tall deck

Dollar for dollar a smaller cube boosted motor is going to be cheaper. WAAYY cheaper. The sound is deceiving since the exhaust was outside. My engine builder is much better at building motors than taking videos...LOL..

We have done 468 engines before. 4.185 x 4.250 = 468 CI of lsx muscle. you would be suprised at how many people i have TRIED to talk into this engine, dont get it, then wish they did.

only real prob on the piston is a 1.000 CH....eek

I'm sure it would be fine as long as there is no power adder. I would also suspect that it wouldn't be a good candidate for a max effort NA solution either. Unless there is no need for longevity.

well the engine we built went into a persons car that has an extreme want for nostalgia. not sure if it was an orig BBC car or a Poncho, but those are magic numbers in any of those as well. It is being run on the street as well as the track. I do not think it was built for max power, but it did produce a good amount.

The other option is the tall deck. 496 CI is a good number too. Very funny how all of these are such nostalgic numbers.

Why I said a 400 shot would be sketchy at best.

150 shot would be MAX I think.
