What springs are you running? How does the car idle etc? Was that through open headers?

Any info on the setup? I assume this a big solid with a sheetmetal intake.

Congrats again Allan! Put some TR6 plugs in it tomorrow and top these numbers.

BTW, the neighbors didn't come over to bring any welcoming gifts. If they could have put up with tonight's noise, they could live with anything. lol

Jason

Thanks Jason!

Yeah Allan totally blamed you and Telly for him making so many pulls last night Im sure the welcoming gifts will start pouring in next week

That is dead nutz crazy! Assuming this a race motor; how much would the peak hp drop if the cam were changed to get more streetable torque? Could you have 450 tq?

More details on this set up please , if it has a custom intake , did you do back to back testing against an LS-6 ? If so , what was the gain ? I'll assume this is a 13 to 1 built bottom end set up , whatever it is , those are great numbers from 346 cubic inches.

Thanks everybody... One thing correction sucks, made 554hp\476tq raw! First pull was 482 hp at 11.8 A\F,had the tuning on the rich side since I went racing a day after the engine was finished with no dyno time or break in. The 3 nitrous passes in Ennis broke her in Ran 9.89@143.5 on a spinning 1.50 60' even jetting down 50hp.

Here is a run down on the setup:

-FMS Race ported LS6 heads,2.055"\1.60" custom Manley valves
-FMS nitrous spec solid roller cam -? ( not that little 233 cam )
-T&D rockers w\Comp 9990 coated 1.55" springs
-Diamond custom nitrous pistons 13.0 CR
-Eagle H-beam rods
-FMS custom sheetmetal w\dual 58mm T\B
-FMS 1 3\4"-1 7\8" stepped headers w\bullits
-Autolite AR472 nitrous plugs on C16 gas(not N\A friendly)
-STOCK water pump still

-12 bolt w\4.30 gears
-22lb steel driveshaft
-steel flywheel w\RAM 910 clutch
-Stock SS wheels w\275-40 DR's

It still drives good on the street, just a little more choppy at idle. Once I get the trans out and pro-shifited,will be making some more passes in Jan.

Allan has a lt1 style duel blade tb, Not 2 thb's. I rode in that car with just under 440 rwhp and it was just sick then, I will be going to ask for another ride comeing soon.
Allen, You can try that Intake on my car to see how it helps the little guys on the dyno and track if you want to test it one day
