If you Darton Sleeve a LS 6 block, is it wet or dry sleeves?

Does VA Speed offer an exchange program? Send me a Darton sleeved 427 LS 6 bare block and I'll return them my LS 6 bare block in their crate?

My 03 Z0 6 is needing a fresh upgrade and I am subscribed to this post, so keep us updated. Thanks in advanced.

Hey Kevin I expect a call tomorrow when you pick the monster up and start driving her home. Lots of pics and some video if you can !!!!! The best would be a dash mounted vid cam on you so we can see the HOLY SHNIKEES expression when you go WOT for the first time. I don't think I'd try that in anything lower then 4th gear from about 80 mph.

Congrats and enjoy. Looking fwd to reading about your impressions. Hope to have something to share as well in the next weeks.

Thanks for the tip on the TROLL, maybe he'll be banned again.

IIRC: LS6 are wet sleeved. Contact Shawn and see what he can do for you.

The ls6 block have to be wet sleeved-not really worth the money.Cheaper to buy a used ls2 block and have it sleeved or to buy a new one ready to go for $2800.00

It's Saturday morning and Santa brought me a brand new 427...

I just need to go pick it up in VA Beach. We're cruising down in a couple hours. McLeod, Sneakelman, MadmaxZ06 and The Dingo are cruising. I think a few locals will stop by also...

I'm pumped!!!

Just got back from picking up the car at Virginia Speed. The car is a brute. Excellent linear power. A little less chop than before which means VERY little. Thanks to Ed it runs flawlessly. I was really impressed with the return to idle. Perfect every time. This is with a 107mm NW TB. We got stuck in some bumper to bumper traffic and it was no more difficult to drive than any manual transmission.

The Spec 3+ performs great. It has a small "growl" when engaging. Nothing major and I think that will go away with some miles.

We ended up taking some country roads back because the 95 North had 3 of 4 lanes closed. The last hundred miles or so was nice country roads and we got on it a few times. Traction with the 315 PS2 is an illusion through the first 2 and half of 3rd gear. It blows through traction control completely.

All in all, I'm extremely pleased with the way this iteration turned out. A bit schizophrenic. Mild just cruising around and violently quick on the throttle.

BTW: The valve covers are a beautiful Candy Apple Red with the Virginia Speed engraving. They really didn't photograph well above.

Very similar but this is going to last a lot longer and just like the first time, I don't really care if the car enjoys it...

How about some engine ****. I suck at taking pictures. Shawn even went as far as bead blasting the water pump and alternator bracket. He probably doesn't think I noticed.

Does it have a MAF? Looks like in in the picture, but not sure if it's stock or not.
