383 with a 4200 stall numbers

Default 383 with a 4200 stall numbers

Motor all forged 383, studded with a ms3 cam on lsa 111, afr 225's, moser 9" 4:11 gears, carbed 750 race series double pumper, vic jr. intake, 4200 stall turbo 350, 180 degree thermostat. Dyno numbers:
450 rwhp @ 6700
375 rwtq. @ 5200, 350 @ 6700
Reasonable power? A/F was 12.8 12.9 all the way through.

looks like some pretty good numbers to me.pulling to 6700 is great also. should be a great setup at the track.

what do the heads flow? nice pulling that high, compression?

pacesetter long tubes to 3" bullits dumps behind front seats. Not good for torque as much as horsepower.

Tony Mamo said that with the stall and all they were good numbers. I'll go back to my 28" slicks instead of the 29's.

that sounds about right. my 383 put down 463whp with a tx giant, ported 806's, and a ls6 mani through an 3600 stalled 4l60e, in a 98 vette with factory rear.
