Default help me understand

Just got back from dyno tuning. just installed a ms3, spings, rods, oil pump, ls2 chain. only made 383 and he said my inj were at 115% duty cycle. so I need injs. couple things concern me.
1. I made 362 with bolt ons on this same dyno.
2. none of the runs were consistant. 383, 372, 368....

he also stated I should get a cutout, as I have ahooker catback now?

Where was the 'sniffer' placed? I've seen the air fuel readings go crazy if the WB02 wasn't placed correctly.

What dyno? Mustang or Dynojet? Mustang dyno's are supposed to be great for tuning as they 'load' the wheels and the engine.

Is your MAF clean? My injectors were only @ 89% with the #'s in my sig. The Hooker Aerochamber muffler is supposed to be one of the best flowing mufflers out there and a cut out will only gain a couple hp and noise. -Depending on what you would like more.

Crazy question, but did you measure your pushrods? Is there any excessive valve-train noise??

I am not sure where the sniffer was placed. It was a dynojet. The maf is brand new. Pushrods were the 7.4 TSP, and no there is not valvetrain noise.

Do you have any fuel pump modification harness? The 'pump booster' harness or SLP ALT add on? Wonder if it could have been a dyno issue. Can you post a couple dyno sheets or logs to help the tuner techs?

I'm stumped, even tho I know very little about tuning. I'd like to see what the experienced techs say on this.

^ IMO, if I were paying $450 for a tune, it'd better be a full tune, not just a quick timing and fuel adjust so I could drive it. Not trying to be an ***.... Unless you have other mods going in very soon, or unless he gave you a low price for a quick adjustment. If it's not a full tune, that could be your issue right there. I drove mine for a couple months before I got it tuned.. No good, I know, but the nearest reputable LS tuner was TSP in Texas.

I didn't pay for anything today. the inj were at 115% duty cycle. he said could he could tune it but it would still need retuned with the new inj. so I took it and ordered the inj.

^ Oh ok.. That duty cycle will prolly go down when he tunes it. Prolly running pig rich right now..

Wait till he gets a solid tune on it and then see how the #'s look..

like I said he did a wot tune, but it was leaning out up top due to the inj. he said I won't pick up any power with the inj, but I think I should? oh well. the car felt good on the way home. of course I didn't take it past 6k. going to get the 42lbs and see what she does...... I think I am going to keep the catback for now as well

Maybe get a fuel pressure check on it...I made near 400 at the wheels with my stock injectors on a 2002 SS.
