Default 414/381 Baby cam only

Took my car to Mayhem Motorsports in Raliegh today (thanks Jay and Jeff nice guys) to have my car finally strapped down and the tune finished. It has had a mailorder tune in it for quite and while and its been doing well I was getting kind of itchy as to know what it would put down on top of wanted it all dialed in right. Setup is 226/226 .585/.585 cam, pacesetter lt's, asp pulley, slp lid, ported tb, stock dual/dual catback and stock air filter. It was more than suprising to see what it did so I'm happy and the car runs HARD as hell now!

Solid power curve there. Looks like spikes at the end of the pulls are skewing the numbers high though.

x2 on the spike but the curve looks good. I'd be very happy with that graph considering the mods and size of the cam.

This is the type of thread that leads me to put less emphasis on dyno numbers and more on track numbers/mph. You show to have put down over 410rwhp in the dyno graph, yet only mph @ 114 with this setup. I'm only putting down 365hp through the stock converter (for now), and I ran the time in my sig @113.

If there were truely such a gap in rwhp, one would think there would be more of a jump in your trap speed when compared to mine.

Edit: Just saw that you mentioned to have "shut down early", as indicated in your sig. That changes things. Why did you shut down early?

I had a 2.2 60' and I aborted the run since I figured I'd done crappy. Those runs were also before the tune as I was having problems that day, the car has been 116. When I was full bolton's I've trapped 113 although. Most of the guys at the track we run at who trap 116-119ish with good traction run mid to low 11's I just need a 60'!

It runs real good on the street, I can hang with a buddy of mine with a cam only car that traps 119 and ran a 11.4. Needless to say I'm satisfied!

Man, that really is impressive considering how mild the cam is. Plus, a 113mph with just bolt on's is stout for sure. Post some track vid's when you get a chance.

His numbers are SAE, so it wouldn't matter what the ambient temperature was.

It's a good small cam to start out with, pulls nice and hard too (gotta replace my clutch LOL). I'm just confused how you are making basically the same whp as me with stock untouched 241's lol.

Car was a strong runner to begin with, ran 12.6-8's all day bone stock engine with just some relocation brackets at 109mph. I need to learn more on the sae/std numbers thing on dynographs.

yeah my car ran 12.9 @ 111mph in the 1/4 mile with a lid and full exhaust on street tires spinning.

I mean I'm not really complaining just confused how stock untouched 241 heads are basically flowing just as good as stage 1 ported 243 heads lol

Wow, you M6 guys sure do pick up mph on the big end. If you were trapping 113 with just exhaust/lid, what about now with the heads/cam?
