Dyno Number?s

Well I bought my car a year and a half ago from a kid who wrecked it and didnt have the money to fix it. He said it had a MTI head and cam package in it but i never got any paperwork from him to prove it. I had it dynoed today and it made 373rwhp and 357rwtq through hooker headers cats and corsa catback. Does that sound close? The car is a 2002 SS 6spd

Unless it was a stock head with a small cam package.

Nope, even on the stingeous dyno those are cam only numbers at best... unless there is something else wrong causing it to be way down on power.

something is done to it, its not going to dyno that with just bolt ons, i dont think unless its a freak ?

Well it does have a check engine light and is throwing a code for low input knock sensor, and it def doesnt sound like a baby cam at idle.

Did you log it on the dyno? Wonder what the timing looked like. Not posative, but I think knock sensor code may send it to the low octane table as a fail-safe. Seems I saw that once years ago...

A large drop in timing would explain it. In any case, I would get a log of the tune and wideband readings and go from there...
