Default building mild ls2, difference on dyno or non dyno tuning

i am relatively new to the gen. IV lsx engines and was wondering if putting a cam (291/311 573/558 on 109 LSA) and ls6 intake with matching throttle body, and longtubes would require a dyno tune or if i could just get it tuned without using a dyno. or what the gains might be with using a dyno over not using a dyno. thanks.

probably .006 lift duration numbers instead of .050?

yea the .050 #s are 235/249, its the comp cams big ***** thumpr 291, im kinda goin for sound, but if that is gonna compromise any performance then i will go with a different one. thats something ive been questioning as well. i want something driveable.

Someone will have to alter the tune for you no matter which cam you get. Do you have a builder in mind, they will direct you to a cam choice. Is your car an automatic, M6. what are the rear gears.
Spend some time reading this forum, keep a notepad by your computer and take notes. There is alot to learn.

i have a 2000 firehawk, im swapping an lq9 into it, cam, upgraded valvetrain on the stock 317 heads, ls6 intake manifold and throttle body, headers, and looking for a tune, my end goal is about 450 rwhp and myself and a buddy of mine are gonna be doing the work. automatic 4l60e with 3600 stall, stock 3.42 gears. like i said, i want that old school sound but im not willing to sacrifice any performance or drivability for it.
