Im thinking of changing to 3.73 gears in my auto camaro and i have a handheld tuner i have been using to tweak my tune because it was free and it has a gear change option so will that be alright until i get a dynotune ?
also with a full bolt on, geared car how much ET will i loose from a good dynotune from texas speed ? how much horsepower will increase ?

not trying to throw the BS flag but theres no way id get -.5 of the ET from a tune...when i get my 3.73s and UD pully ill be knocking on 11s door with a stock stall so ur tellin me with a tune id run 11.5 ? no way man lol...maybe -2tenths 20hp at the MOST ...

Yeah 20hp at the wheels u will only knock bout 2 tenths off.

so ur saying with my mods i will get a 12.9....i ran a 12.6 before my ls6 intake and ramair, since then i have also fixed my sluggish 2-3 shift problem and have taken about 100 lbs out also....with an underdrive pully and some 3.73s im gonna be knockin on 11s door man.

Depending what his gear ratio is to start with he will most likely see at most a .2-.3 reduction IF he adds some good sticky tires.

Yeah but I can't wait till I get my FTI stall.I saw full bolt on ss running 12.0 all night and one pass at 11.8.I think we have reached our stock stall limit.If I were u i would worry about getting the stall before the gears and then gears later.

yeah but i can do a gear swap for like 250 bucks because i know people and a stall is 720 plus an 1100 dollar tranny build and a 400 dollar tune, i just cant afford it and i want 11s...i have a feeling i can get some nice 11 second passes with my stock stall, then ill put an ss4000 with a built tranny and a tune and see what she does next year.
