Default 230/242 6.0L results

just wanted to post the results from my 04 GTO. it's been a long wait but it's finally done for the most part. the mods are

fresh lq9 from SDPC
230/242 custom from FTI
pac 1518's shimmed and set at correct height
ls7 lifters and 7.350 pr's
243's with a VJ and bowl work (stock runners)
ls6 intake and ported stock tb
stock injectors and pump
pacesetters with catless mids and a magnaflow catback
ls7 clutch

i was hoping it would have done a little better but i'm just happy it's finally running. i think a better intake and tb would probably help a bunch. i'd like to thank all the guys in the eastern section for all the help with the motor. this was my first ls motor and it worked out ok

Killer graph, with an amazing torque curve! This car will be awesome from a roll.

it really doesn't feel like i thought it would. i know GTO's are heavy but i thought it would be a little more of a handful i guess. the motor only has 400 miles on it so i've been hesitant to pound on it

The curve looks great. That'd be a 445ish car in an F-body.

Your GTO doesn't feel fast with 435 because it's a heavy pig. Get some weight out of that thing and it'll make a huge difference.

Yep, and the iron block made it even heavier. The dyno results are very good though.

i bought the car as a daily driver, unfortunately the motor was shot. i had this motor for my camaro so in it went. the cam was spec'd for a ported super vic and a 4150tb so i was expecting lower #'s anyway. i was surprised it made what it did

Looks to me like the AFR if rock steady at just under 13 - 1.. By chance did you check your injector duty cycle? I'm not sure that injectors are going to make you any more power, but it might make it more safe if your running those injectors real hard.

A ported FAST, larger MAF and TB, fuel pump and injectors would be next on my list. You could see over 450 with that setup.

Good to see you got it straight Matt!

Don't know what torque curve everyone above is looking at, but it seems to be lacking from 3,200 to 4,500 - shouldn't go flat like that...

thanks man. i don't really consider it straight yet though. i was wondering why it flatlined then started to pick up again. i'm not sure if it has to do with the cam or what. as soon as i can sell my 243's i'll be coming to visit
