Default Stock Shortblock 2004 LS1 GTO 6-speed.... Not too shabby!

Just got back from a the dyno over at where i had my car tuned for the new mods. Its a stock shortblock 2004 5.7 LS1 GTO. I was pretty impressed with the numbers and im super happy with the driveability of the Thunder Spec Cam. I dont think i can squeeze anything else out of her without going into the shortblock



I copy and pasted the mods list so some of them have nothing to do with the dyno but you get the idea

very nice numbers you got there .. except your tq is kinda low compering to these mods ..

LS1 5.7 where never really putting out that high torque numbers...but i can see what you mean. 415 what have been nice but it is what it is lol

I dont think theres millions of fbody putting upward of 400rwtq. 455/400 are more than respectable numbers IMO. Kinda ******* great numbers! Nice combo OP with the Raptor cam!

Yeah the IRS and the Driveshaft Setup does soak up alot of HP

Nice results!!! Im suprised that clutch is still working out with that kind of power you are making.

My stock clutch was done at 31K miles after going H/C/I only 1K miles before that. It was slipping pretty bad at the top of 4th. I don't expect yours to last long unless you're pretty easy on it.

Yeah My other car has a T-Rex V2...I almost went with it again on this car but being a GTO as opposed to an F-body i was going to try to eliminate some cam surge in 6th...too smooth of a ride to butcher. Gene talked me into the RapTR. Turned out well and drives nice..

Im on a stock clutch and have been through 4 bottles. Still holding great. Thats with about 5k with a cam.
