Default 2010 Cadillac CTS-V

One of our great customers from work owns a 2010 Cadillac CTS-V and we have been fortunate enough to modifiy it for him. The car in stock form put down 439/434. We first did an upper pulley and swapped it to a 2.55 as well as added a cold air intake and thermostat. From there the car was tuned on the dyno and the result was 524RWHP (i forget the torque off hand). The next mod was a set of coated 1 7/8" Kooks long tubes with a Corsa cat back. with a very big suprise, there was pretty much no gain on the dyno from this. Power consistancy from pull to pull was much better, but overall no gain. I could have pulled a few if I'd dyno'd it all day, but that certainly wasn't worth beating on such a nice car for. I just dialed the car in for the headers after seeing there wasn't any real gain going to happen. Before we were done the owner was already talking about more mods. From there we added an LS9 cam, WCCH stage 2.5 LSA cylinder heads, Innovators West balancer with a Metco 9.1" blower pulley, and a larger heat exchanger. With the new parts installed the new found power after only a couple of hours of tuning was 605RWHP and 618RWTQ. The blower peaks at about 3800rpm and boost falls from there. Injector duty cycle is now 111% at peak hp. Once again before we were even done with this cycle of mods the owner and my boss were going over what is needed for more power. The next mods they agreed to were larger injectors and an LS9 TVS2300. We're hoping that the stock transmission is up for the task.

Here is a dyno sheet also. I have better graph's, but can't seem to upload them right now.

I feel the opposite. I think its perfect to mod a beautiful car. People don't expect it.
Definitely sounds like a beast!

Why go with this cam in your car? Wouldn't a custom deal be more Ideal for what you are looking to do? I know money isn't the issue..

God I love the V's. If one found its way to my garage someday, I'd mod the **** out of it. Hopefully a big twinscrew comes out for these badboys.

I wouldn't be surprised if the owner wanted a "sleeper" setup. Maybe that's why he opted for the LS9 cam...noticed he went with the blower that's on the LS9. I've always loved the V series Caddies. I want to own one one day.

Great results, now talk the owner into buying a classy dash cover and not a throw rug that he has on there.

09-10 Vs are an awesome all around car especially the autos. They shine in everyday driving, drag racing, and even better on the road course. Something about having everything imagineable inside(heated and a/c seats, pop up nav, leather recaros etc) and be able to go low 11s or high tens is absolutely sick.

those who say they couldnt do it have their own opinion but when they get there a** busted by a 4k pound luxury car i think theyd think twice.

Zippy:
Help a brother out here, dude?
430------???-------std-------??-??-??--------nev------Zippy------2009 CTS-V
(from our conversation a few months back on the '09)
I would still like to have the RWTQ & the date of the dyno run?

Now the important query:
How much can you duplicate what you did on the 2010 CTS-V?
Parts & labor, out the door, including before & after dyno charts?
How many days would you need it in your shop?

PM me if you would like

No such thing as what you posted to some people. What's extremely nice to you might be just a plain wrapper everyday daily driver to others. And to some others, they are strictly a toy. My '09 CTS-V just broke 2K miles a while back, shares toy duties with my '87 turbo Buick, so it only gets out about every 3 weeks or so.
It's all a matter of how much pocket personality (how deep are ones pockets) and what are ones goals. There are probably more of these cars modded than you realize.

Because it is an ideal cam for these cars. It is the favorite of many '09 & up CTS-V speciality CTS-V tune shops. Why pay for a custom cam that is unproven when you can run one that was virtually manufactured and developed for an almost identical motor.
