Default Thanks to Vengeance Racing!!!!

Let me start off by saying I bought this 2001 SS as a cam only car in April.....put about 150 miles on it and then immediately ripped the entire drivetrain out of it and added this:

SDPC LS2 413 shortblock built into a longblock by Vengeance...11.85:1 c/r
Manley Pistons, Scat Rods, Eagle stroker crank, Cometic gaskets
TFS 235 heads w/yella terras
Vengeance VRX5 cam...236/238....601/605...113 LSA
TSP 1 7/8" headers, TSP O/R Y-pipe w/magnaflow catback and cutout
Vengeance ported FAST 102/102mm TB
FAST fuel rails w/custom lines made by Vengeance
100mm Powermaf/104mm FTP Lid
FRPP 42lb injectors

Performabuilt Level 2 4L60
Circle D +4C (4000ish stall)
Midwest Chassis Fab'd 9" w/truetrac, alum. center section & 3.70 gear

All of this was installed by yours truly on jackstands in my garage (I will never again drop an LS motor in from the top)....finished it up in August and had a mail order tune done for it using the stock MAF so I could put a few miles on it. After 500 miles and a few oil changes I took the car to my local tuner who does an EXCELLENT job and after the first pull the car kept breaking up and wouldn't make any power. We changed the plugs/wires and still nothing.....funny thing is the car ran flawlessly under normal driving and would just break up at WOT.

Rather than try and fix little things and go back and forth to the dyno I had the car shipped to Vengeance in Atlanta and naturally within an hour of them starting to look at it they figured out that one of the grounds on the back of one of the cylinder heads had come loose (my fault). Apparently they have a pygmy mechanic working for them with hands small enough to fit behind the head in an f-body.

Threw it on the dyno and this is the result.........
Keep in mind this car was built as a street/strip car and doesn't have a radical cam in it....to be honest I thought it would dyno 50hp less.

Thanks to Ron, both Mikes and the rest of the Vengeance crew!!

Car runs great man I drove it yesturday for a bit.

The car dynoed very well. Sorry to call you and tell you we found it after 10 minutes but the good news is it runs great and is ready to drive or race.

Don't feel bad man I could not fit my hand back there either but Charlie can

Nice setup. I'm surprised too by the small cam.

I like that you drove it for 150 miles then ripped everything out. That's big ***** style. I like it!

I don't see why someone would put a motor in from the top either but that's just me.

You just need one of these. I can't find the pic of the car seven feet in the air.

Someone has one I am sure.

need some rear suspension BAD!! Car felt like it was twisting and about to jump off the ground (in the rear) on the launch and then would come down and hook hard

needless to say my best tonight was a 11.1 @126 with a crappy 1.8 sixty....should be an easy mid 10 sec car once I get the suspension sorted out

thanks again Ron.....this thing is VIOLENT!!
