Default Dynoed My GN Today

I took my Buick Grand National to the dyno today. In street trim, 92 Octane chip on pump gas, she pulled 247RWHP and 351RWTQ @ 16PSI of boost.

Congrats!!! It's alway's nice to know what a GN put's out..I dyno'd my wifes GN last year and had a hell of a time with the 3000 stall. It would pull for 2 seconds then hit the rev limiter.

Thanks for the info. I wondered how much power a basic pump gas Regal put down. Slowhawk were you running a street chip when you dynoed the 320?

Thanks

I guess I came off a "bit" harsh. Sorry. I just thought you had quite a few mods in your sig for that dyno #. I guess I should just say congrats. Nice TQ. though. I have been into the TR's for about 10 years, and usually subscribe to the "Recipe" theory. How long have you owned the car? Again, sorry about all the rainbow stuff.

No prob on the rainbow stuff. I was wondering why you were so insulted. I have had the car for a month. BTW, I apolagize for the ankle biter stuff. I bought it in NH with 77K original and the maintenance records all the way back to the first oil change. I was pretty impressed with the numbers since I really dont have but a couple power adders mods. I just ordered a cold air kit, the kind that goes outside the engine bay (Big Mouth)not just a K&N on the end of the MAF. Bought a 3" up pipe and MAF to turbo pipe, also got a larger Kirbans turbo inlet bell. Need the Dutt IC neck mod but didnt get it. I also ordered so traction aids cause this thing spins all day long. I got dual air bags, variable rate rear springs, & pinion snubber. May go for the HR PartsnStuff control arm boxing kits.

Just a shot in the dark, but did you have both your cars dynoed at the same facility? "265RWHP WTF???" seems low for even a stock LS1. Now your GN #s also seem low. Coincidence? Maybe somethings up with that dyno?

My dad's GNX did 270/370 BONE stock 10 yrs ago...With less than 500 bucks invested the car ran 12.80's on STREET radials...

GN's are DANGEROUS modded, there is several 9-10 sec TR's around here. Bad MF'ers for sure

Got the cars dynoes 2 sepplaces. My GN numbers are actually quite good becasue the flywheel advertised HP/TRQ for the 87 GN was 245/355 so mine is not bad with 77K on it. My Z is low but I havent taken it back for a new run yet. Idunno wehat with that one. It is a very strong running car.

There's a guy here in ATL in the GN club with two of them. One of his GNX's never leaves his basement except for an occasional trip about the block. The car has 4500 miles on it, and the factory plastic still on the seats
