Tuning correctly can take hours, or even days if there's a lot of cold start tuning needed.

For a camshaft, I'd say a bare min of an hour street driving. It takes about 60-90 minutes to dial in MAF/VE tables, then blend them back together and do WOT.

BTW, if your tuner doesn't street tune first, go to somebody else.

Some cars take a long time, some don't. If your car was 100% correct and I was in a rush could probly fully tune it in 15 minutes on the street and a few pulls on the dyno. This is just experience from tuning 100's of setups like yours and making a real good base tune to start from. A non-experienced tuner could take 20hr's to get it right.

WOT tuning is simple - timing and A/F. Tuning is for idle, drivability ect. Almost anybody can make dyno #'s.

My tuner spent about 3 hours street tuning, then a week later we put it on the dyno to do WOT which only took 3 pulls to dial in.

Hmm, didn't for mine. Did a lot of part throttle stuff on the dyno though.
