What clutch are you running? Are you planning on swapping it out to hold the power?
I believe that battery power was inadvertently applied to a wire that must never be powered. It was a seemingly unrelated system, but it nevertheless caused the problem.

I was running a spec stage 3 clutch. I am going to switch to a street twin and a SFI bell housing. Now, I know some of you are going to think I am crazy for running the spec, but there was good reason behind it. The main reason was, it was impossible for the clutch to harm the drive train. Think of it as a fuse. It held well into the 700's, and that's not bad . The street twin is violent when rapidly applied, as in clutch drops and quick shifts. I simply didn't want that kind of power application and increased wear during testing.

Maybe we can see if there is a single turbo, stockish t56, LT1 out there that has more power. If there is no such car, I think the ls tech community should acknowledge it as a record

Thanks for watching the video and for all the positive comments. Hopefully, I can get to the track by fall and have some good footage. Perhaps I can have the final video made by winter.

Well done Alek, currently your it Alek, Jose at FI had an 88mm on a PTK Out Law kit, he was making a little over a 1000rwhp but that car has since been parted. Very similar set up to you as far as cubes, turbo, a2w and T56, was also an SS, but white. There's been a few 88mm 355s, they were in the 900RWHP though. Also Rick's car was a full out drag car, doesn't really compare to Alek's.

Agreed it is a full out drag car but he asked me what the record was and I told him.
