That is a really good gain for heads only. Most head changes always involve more than just the heads so the results always look better than they really are...it is about selling parts after all.

50+ from a head swap? Those were decent results with a smaller cam. Add a intake and add even more...

The only difference between the two is the seats get blended and the heads get flowed at TEA, so in reality, not much difference.

What you do get at TEA is the assurance the heads flow what they're supposed to without any extra cost.

In a perfect world CNC ported heads always flow the same. In the real world there is no end to the things that can go wrong that affect airflow.

I like the TEA heads because I know the heads have no issue's,expecially with the valve job. Many times we've checked out of box heads and found the valve jobs leaking.

Just wondering, but maybe an intake will really wake up those heads? I also would've thought you would gain more from a set of the best ls heads. Then again, for an auto those are stout numbers. Would love to see a fast 102 on your setup.

I ganed 40hp from a stock ported ls1 head to a AFR 205 head. There is so much more to the higher dollar head then a budget ported head. The over all thickness and quality is better. 33HP is a nice gain. My boy makes just over 500hp on a 383ci with the tfs 215 head on a stang dyno with a heavy drive shaft and a 12 bolt with gears. Tony mammo himself told me he has seen flaws on heads that are popular today. In the end you really do get what you pay for.

I've been ussing the TEA/TFS heads for years.Always perform which is what we like. Here is another car with a 230 Cam which is mostly used for road racing.About 2 years of 1/2 hour race sessions at 5000-6500rpm.

Is the pricing pretty similar for the TEA Trickflows as it is for regular, out of the box Trickflows?

The last set of A.I. heads we did gained 50rwhp. We haven't had a set yet that picked up less than 40hp.
