I should say I have another issue now, for some reason at 5000rpm the crank position sensor trips a code and puts the car into SES mode and dies at the burnout box, on the line.... on the street. I disabled SES mode for that code and it works better, but still not running like it should, check the wires right from the sensor to the PCM. Totally lost on this one, changed the sensor too.
I am having a couple of odd issues that have just come up recently...
1-can't read the 2 bar map pid with HPtuners
2-crank position sensor going into SES mode at 5000rpm (P0336)
3-in closed loop operation has a bad surging below 40% TPS and/or below 80kpa
both 2 and 3 don't show anything on the log- I guess neither does number 1, lol. What do these 3 things have in common? and ground, power, relay, etc, anyone??

Good to hear Garrett!
We've had a customer run 9.20 in Fbody 408ci and TC78, not a recommended combination, however 390ci will suit this head unit better (then a 400+ci engine).
holy crap dude i read this tread a few days ago but dam i just noticed you have a 390 with a tc78!!!! Dude your back pressures threw the roof!! thats why it falls on its face! man with 370's at 13lbs its way to much on a tc78! let alone a 390
I cant believe no one has said this!
